Most major police departments do not ban chokeholds.

A data scientist from H20.ai, a firm that creates open-source platforms for AI, has created several data visualizations highlighting the relationships between police policies and the use of deadly force in the United States. The researcher found that requiring officers to report each time they use or threaten to use deadly force and to de-escalate situations correlates with officers using deadly force less often. A visualization highlights which major U.S. cities have these policies in place and which do not.
