Genomic data platform developer Repositive has published a database of human genomic data called the Autism Data Collection consisting of over 6,500 autism-related datasets. The Autism Data Collection includes whole sequenced exomes of autism patients, data about the role gut microbiota plays in autism disorders, and other genetic data that could advance research into the factors that cause autism disorders. Though autism is known to be heritable, researchers know little about how genetics influence the disorder, so this data could lead to new insights into how autism develops and how to manage it.
