Mapping the Ocean in 3D

Esri has partnered with several federal agencies, including the U.S. Geological Survey, NOAA, and NASA, to publish 3D geospatial datasets of marine ecosystems called ecological marine units (EMUs). EMUs combine 3D mapping data with climatological and oceanographic data collected from ocean sensors and satellite measurements and can support detailed scientific research. The EMUs are freely available to the public.
